We met in the most ordinary of places: a Sam’s Club parking lot in San Antonio. Alexandria was on the opposite side of town running an errand and, after a last-minute prompting, decided to stop there early. Worried she’d parked too close to Ben’s nice car, she knocked on his window to apologize, and we started talking. Between laughs and surprise at how small the world felt, Alexandria asked if Benjamin played D&D, and by the end of the conversation she’d gave him her number.
